Michael Busch showing signs of life at the plate
by David Leisering | Cubs Correspondent | Fri, Apr 17th 9:35pm EDT
Michael Busch had a pair of singles in four at bats, adding a walk and two runs scored, as the Cubs defeated the Mets, 12-4, on Friday.
Fantasy Impact:
Busch walked and scored in the first, singled in the fourth, and then singled and scored in the eighth as he continues to try to snap out of his rough start to the year. Busch saw his average hit a season-low .118 after last Saturday's game against the Pirates but, in his four games since, he is hitting .357 (5-for-14) with three runs scored, three walks, and an RBI. He has raised his average to .169 for the year but, after hitting 34 home runs last season, is still looking for his first long ball of the 2026 campaign.
