Nico Hoerner went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run to help the Cubs to a 12-4 victory over the struggling Mets on Friday afternoon.

Fantasy Impact:

Hoerner is off to a sensational start to the season and is making the six-year, $141 million contract extension he signed right before the season look like a great deal for the Cubs. The second baseman recorded his second straight three-hit game - and already his fourth three-hit game of the year - to improve his average to .342 (26-for-76) in 19 games. Hoerner hit his third home run of the season off of Mets' starter, Kodai Senga, with on one and two out in the bottom of the second. He's well on his way to surpass his career-high of 10 he hit in 2022. He is 8-for-16 with two home runs and 10 runs batted in over his last three games and has hit safely in 10 of his last 11 contests.
