Jose Soriano suffers first loss of season Tuesday

Jose Soriano suffered his first loss of the season on Tuesday after allowing three runs on six hits over five innings in a 5-2 loss to the White Sox. He walked three and struck out six.

Fantasy Impact:

After allowing just one run over his first six starts of the year, Soriano proved he is human on Tuesday as he allowed three runs, all of which came on a pair of home runs. The righthander saw his consecutive scoreless inning streak come to an end at 25.2 innings after he allowed a solo blast to Colson Montgomery in the second inning. Soriano woke up with a stiff neck and pitched with discomfort for much of the night, laboring through 97 pitches in five innings. He saw his ERA jump from 0.24 to 0.84 through 42.2 innings and his record drop to 5-1 in his seven starts. He is scheduled to get the White Sox again, this time in Los Angeles, on Monday.
