Pomeranz threw his second bullpen session on Thursday since landing on the injured list May 13 with left elbow inflammation. Los Angeles Angels manager Kurt Suzuki said the team was simply being cautious in placing him on the injured list, meaning he could be in line to return when first eligible May 28.
