Slade Cecconi allowed two earned runs on six hits and three walks while striking out three over 5.1 innings in Thursday's 8-5 win over the Royals.

Cecconi did just enough to avoid another blowup, even if the command was shaky. It has been a tough start to the season for Cecconi, although he has picked up a win in two straight starts. After Thursday's win over Kansas City, Cecconi now has a 6.15 ERA and 1.59 WHIP to go with a 2-4 record across eight starts. His next start will be Tuesday against the Angels.
