Trevor McDonald has been recalled by the San Francisco Giants from Triple-A Sacramento. He'll take the spot of Logan Webb, who was placed on the 15-day IL with right knee bursitis. (San Francisco Giants on X)
Fantasy Impact:
McDonald was optioned to Sacramento on Tuesday after a brilliant start against the Padres on Monday. The righthander allowed a run on two hits, walked one, and struck out eight in the 3-2 victory. In limited major league action over the last three years, McDonald is 2-0 with a 1.44 ERA and a 23:3 K:BB ratio in 25 innings over five appearances. He will be the likely starter for the Giants on Monday as they open a series against the Dodgers.
