Jameson Taillon allowed one run on four hits in 5.1 innings, walked two and struck out four, as the Cubs were blanked by the Rangers, 3-0, on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact:
Taillon went toe-to-toe with Jacob deGrom on Sunday, but the Cubs' righthander was on the short-end of a 1-0 score when he exited with one out in the sixth. Taillon has now allowed three earned runs or fewer in five of his eight starts this season. He is 2-2 with a 3.94 ERA and a 40:16 K:BB ratio in 45.2 innings and is scheduled to beat the Rangers again on Wednesday.
