Bryan Baker blows save in loss to Toronto

by Nicholas Rodriguez | Rays Correspondent | Thu, May 14th 5:56am EDT

Bryan Baker struggled with his command on Wednesday, walking four batters and allowing one earned run while recording just two outs in a 5-3 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays, blowing the save in the process.

Fantasy Impact:

Baker entered the game in the bottom of the eighth inning to face the top of the Toronto Blue Jays order and immediately ran into trouble, walking the first three batters he faced before allowing a sacrifice fly. He snapped a nine-appearance scoreless streak on Wednesday and now owns a 2.60 ERA and 1.04 WHIP with 20 strikeouts across 17.1 innings. The Tampa Bay Rays have Thursday off before beginning a weekend series against the Miami Marlins on Friday.
