Ranger Suarez deals, but Red Sox bats go quiet in 3-1 loss

by Chris Schommer | Red Sox Correspondent | Fri, May 15th 12:40pm EDT

Ranger Suarez allowed four hits and one walk while striking out eight over 5 1/3 scoreless innings in Thursday’s loss to the Phillies.

Fantasy Impact:

Suarez continues a strong stretch on the mound, holding opponents scoreless in four of his last six starts. The left-hander continues to provide manager Chad Tracy with one of the more stable options in the Red Sox rotation despite inconsistent run support, carrying a 2.44 ERA and 0.95 WHIP with a 2-2 record and 8.1 K/9 ratio across eight starts.
