Edward Cabrera has short outing Friday
by David Leisering | Cubs Correspondent | Sat, May 16th 2:29pm EDT
Edward Cabrera did not factor in the decision on Friday as he lasted just 4.2 innings, allowing three runs on four hits with three walks and two strikeouts.
Fantasy Impact:
Cabrera labored through his outing, throwing 88 pitches - 48 strikes - and two of the three hits he allowed went for extra bases (one double, one home run). The righthander has served up at least one home run in his last five starts and has given up at least three earned run in each of his last seven outings after starting the year with 11.2 scoreless innings. Cabrera has been fine overall, but probably not what fantasy owners expected after the trade from Miami to Chicago. He is 3-1 with a 4.06 ERA and a 45:18 K:BB ratio through 51.2 inning this season. However, over his last seven starts, he has pitched to a 5.26 ERA with a 1.50 WHIP. He'll take on the Brewers on Wednesday.
