Ben Brown goes five innings in loss Tuesday

by David Leisering | Cubs Correspondent | Wed, May 20th 12:26am EDT

Ben Brown pitched five innings on Tuesday and allowed three runs on seven hits, walked two, and struck out six as the Cubs suffered a 5-2 loss to the Brewers.

Fantasy Impact:

Brown allowed a run in the first and two more in the third as he allowed season-highs in both runs and hits on Tuesday. After 12 appearances out of the bullpen, Brown has started each of the last three games and has allowed three runs on eight hits with a 16:4 K:BB ratio in 13 innings. The righthander worked his way up to 82 pitches as it looks like he will remain in the Cubs' rotation for the foreseeable future. Brown is tentatively slated to pitch against the Pirates on Monday.
