Paul Skenes allowed four runs on nine hits, walked one, and struck out only two in five innings of work against the Blue Jays on Saturday. The Pirates lost, 5-2, in Toronto.

Skenes suffered his second consecutive loss as he allowed a season-high nine hits on Saturday. The righthander has surrendered nine runs on 15 hits in 10 innings over his last two starts and dropped to 6-4 on the year. Skenes is now 1-4 with a 6.51 ERA and a 1.54 WHIP in six day-game starts this season. In night games, he is 5-0 with a 0.51 ERA and a 0.31 WHIP in five starts. He is lined up for a home start against the Cubs on Thursday night.
