Bubba Chandler strikes out career-high 11 in Friday loss

Bubba Chandler allowed three runs - one earned - on two hits in five innings on Friday in a 6-2 loss to the Blue Jays.

Chandler had one of his best starts of the season, but still suffered his fifth consecutive loss. He walked three and struck out a career-high 11 batters - the first time he has reached double figures in his brief career. However, he was done in by three costly Pittsburgh errors - two of which led to a pair of unearned runs in the third inning. Chandler dropped to 1-6 on the season, but did lower his ERA to 4.79. He'll look to build off this start when he takes the mound again Wednesday in a home start against the Cubs.
