by David Leisering | Pirates Correspondent | Sat, May 30th 9:59am EDT
Wilber Dotel allowed one hit and struck out four in three scoreless innings, helping the Pirates to a 6-5 win over the Twins on Friday.
Fantasy Impact:
The righthander kept the Twins' offense at bay on Friday and allowed the Pirates to get a walk-off homer from Bryan Reynolds to earn the home victory. Dotel has been a bright spot in the Pirates' bullpen since his most recent call up a little over a week ago. Over his last two outings, Dotel has allowed two hits while striking out eight in six scoreless innings. Overall, he is 1-0 with a 1.32 ERA, limiting opponents to a .146 average and posting a 14:3 K:BB ratio in 13.2 innings this season. Dotel is quickly working himself into more high-leverage situations out of the Pirates' bullpen.
