Alex Bregman provides lone Cubs' run Sunday night
by David Leisering | Cubs Correspondent | Sun, May 31st 11:03pm EDT
Alex Bregman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run on Sunday night as the Cubs suffered a 5-1 loss to the Cardinals.
Fantasy Impact:
Bregman took Hunter Dobbins deep with one out in the sixth for his fifth home run of the season. It was his first home run since May 12 and just his third since hitting a pair of home runs in the third game of the season on March 29. Bregman did, however, extend his hitting streak to 11 consecutive games, batting .304 (14-for-46) with two doubles, a homer, and two RBI during the stretch. His first season in Chicago has not gotten off to a blazing start as he is hitting .259 with five home runs and just 18 RBI in 59 games.
