Luis Severino to be re-evaluated in 4-6 weeks

Athletics right-hander Luis Severino has a strain of his right shoulder capsule and subscapularis muscle and will be re-evaluated in four to six weeks. (Martin Gallegos on Twitter)

The Athletics placed the veteran on the injured list on Saturday, and it appears he will miss significant time with a shoulder injury. Severino is enjoying a decent season, posting a 4.16 ERA through 12 starts, while his strikeout rate has jumped to 24%, his highest figure since the 2022 season.
