Gregory Soto records two-out save Tuesday
by David Leisering | Pirates Correspondent | Wed, Jun 3rd 7:21am EDT
Gregory Soto struck out both hitters he faced to earn his eighth save of the season on Tuesday, preserving a 10-6 win over the Astros.
Fantasy Impact:
Soto came on with runners at first and second, one out, and two runs already in off of Dennis Santana. The lefty was able to preserve the win by striking out Christian Walker and Isaac Paredes for his eighth save of the year. Soto is now 8-for-10 in save chances this season and has been unscored upon in his last six outings. He has held opponents to a .106 average (10 hits in 28.1 innings) and has a 34:10 K:BB ratio. If you haven't realized by now, Soto is clearly the closer in Pittsburgh with Santana continuing to struggle.
