Framber Valdez picks up win over Mariners Friday
by Brenton Kemp | Tigers Correspondent | Sat, Jun 6th 12:14pm EDT
Tigers left-hander Framber Valdez allowed just one earned run in five innings against the Mariners on Friday, earning the win in the process.
Fantasy Impact:
Valdez was by no means dominant in this one, as he required 102 pitches to get through five innings. However, he certainly pitched well enough to win, allowing five hits and two walks to go against five strikeouts on the evening. The veteran left-hander has taken a step back after signing a three-year deal with the Tigers this past offseason, as he sports a 4.21 ERA through 13 starts, while his 18.6% K% is a career-low. He will look to build on this start in his next outing, which is lined up for Thursday at home against the Twins.
