Blue Jays closer Louis Varland allowed one earned run but picked up the win in a 3-2 win over the Phillies on Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact:
Varland came into the game with the game tied at one in the ninth inning and allowed an earned run on a hit and a walk with one strikeout in his inning of work. Fortunately for him, the Blue Jays rallied and scored two runs off of Phillies closer Jhoan Duran and walked off the Phillies. The win was Varland's third of the season as his earned run allowed was his first over his last 19 appearances. He sports an elite 0.50 ERA through 32 outings on the season, going 11-for-11 in save chances in the process.
