Scherzer has been sidelined since hitting the IL on April 27, but will return for a tough matchup at home against the Phillies on Wednesday. The veteran struggled mightily to begin the season, posting a 9.64 ERA on the back of a sky-high 3.38 HR/9 through five starts before hitting the shelf.
