Michael Soroka settles for no-decision Saturday

by David Leisering | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Sun, Jun 14th 9:15am EDT

Michael Soroka went seven strong innings in Cincinnati on Saturday, allowing just one run on two hits with no walks and seven strikeouts. However, the Reds went on to defeat the Diamondbacks, 2-1.

Fantasy Impact:

Soroka's resurgence continued on Saturday as he allowed one run or fewer in a start for the eighth time in 14 outings this season. After struggling to a 5.71 ERA in April, Soroka has pitched to a 2.15 ERA in eight starts between May and June, while posting a 43:8 K:BB ratio during that stretch. Overall, the righthander is 8-3 with a 3.11 ERA and a 79:17 K:BB ratio in 81 innings this season and is certainly in the mix for his second career All-Star appearance next month.
