Corbin Carroll provides lone Arizona run in narrow loss Saturday

by David Leisering | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Sun, Jun 14th 8:50am EDT

Corbin Carroll went 2-for-5 with a solo home run on Saturday in the Diamondbacks' 2-1 loss to the Reds.

Fantasy Impact:

Carroll hit the first pitch he saw with one out in the top of the first inning off of Cincinnati starter, Rhett Lowder, for his 12th home run of the season. That, unfortunately for Arizona, was it. Carroll added a single in the seventh for his first multi-hit game since June 4. Carroll is hitting .261 (12-for-46) with five home runs in 12 games this month, but his five homers have resulted in only six runs batted in. While his home run pace is on the rise, Carroll has stolen just one base over his last 16 games.
