Kumar Rocker struggles in loss to Twins
by Bruno Mulé | Rangers Correspondent | Wed, Jun 17th 9:14am EDT
Kumar Rocker took the loss Tuesday against the Twins after allowing seven runs, six earned, over 3.1 innings. He gave up two home runs, including a leadoff shot to Trevor Larnach and a three-run homer to Kody Clemens in the third inning. Rocker’s home ERA rose from 3.02 to 4.00, while his overall ERA climbed to 4.17.
Fantasy Impact:
Rocker continues to benefit from pitcher-friendly conditions at Globe Life Field, but Tuesday’s outing damaged his home numbers. His average fastball velocity has dropped from 95.8 mph last season to 94.4 mph this year, and he needs to miss more bats to move beyond a back-end starter profile.
