MacKenzie Gore strikes out 10 in loss to Twins

MacKenzie Gore (4-6) took the loss Monday against Minnesota after allowing four runs on four hits and two walks over seven innings. He struck out a season-high 10 batters, surpassing his previous high of nine, which he had reached twice earlier this year. Gore surrendered a three-run homer to Josh Bell in the first inning but settled down afterward, allowing just one additional run over his final six frames.
Fantasy Impact:
Despite the loss, Gore turned in his longest outing since May 20 and recorded a season-best strikeout total. He now owns a 4.27 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and 86:35 K:BB across 78 innings heading into a projected start Sunday against San Diego.
