by David Leisering | Pirates Correspondent | Sun, Jun 21st 9:40am EDT
Paul Skenes allowed two runs on four hits, walked two, and struck out eight across six innings on Saturday. However, the Pirates' offense let him down again as Pittsburgh dropped a 2-1 decision in Colorado.
Fantasy Impact:
Skenes saw his winless streak hit seven straight starts on Saturday as he dropped to 0-5 since his last victory on May 12 against the Rockies. Over his last five outings, Skenes is 0-3 with a 2.57 ERA and a 42:9 K:BB ratio in 28 innings. His seven losses on the year is tied for third-most in the National League despite owning the league's ninth-best ERA (2.86) and posting the third-most strikeouts (107). He'll look to get back in the win column on Friday in a home start against the Reds.
