Spencer Horwitz provides lone Pirates' run in loss to Rockies
by David Leisering | Pirates Correspondent | Sun, Jun 21st 9:22am EDT
Spencer Horwitz led off Saturday's game with a home run and finished with two hits in four at bats as the Pirates suffered a 2-1 loss to the Rockies.
Fantasy Impact:
Horwitz opened the game with a 434-foot blast into the right field seats off of Colorado starter Tomoyuki Sugano to get the Pirates on the board. That, however, would be the only run Pittsburgh scored on the night. Horwitz is having himself a fine season, batting .281 with 10 home runs and 33 RBI while hitting, primarily, in the leadoff spot. His career-best in home runs is 12 as a member of the Blue Jays in 2024, so he could be on his way to a 20-home run campaign for the first time in his career.
