Kumar Rocker allowed two runs on five hits over five innings Monday against the Marlins while recording a career-high nine strikeouts. Working behind opener Tyler Alexander, Rocker needed just 76 pitches to complete five frames and generated 20 swinging strikes with a 46 percent CSW. He also benefited from a key defensive play in the sixth inning when Ezequiel Duran cut down Xavier Edwards at the plate to end the frame.
Fantasy Impact:
The outing was a strong bounce-back effort for Rocker after he was tagged for seven runs over 3.1 innings by the Twins in his previous appearance. He is scheduled to face the Blue Jays on Saturday to conclude a two-start week.
