Bryce Elder struggles again in Saturday's loss to Giants
by Nate Miller | Braves Correspondent | Sun, Jun 28th 8:40am EDT
Bryce Elder allowed five runs on five hits and one walk while striking out four over four innings in Saturday's 5-0 loss to the Giants.
Fantasy Impact:
Over his first 14 starts of the season, Elder posted an excellent 2.66 ERA and 1.05 WHIP while allowing just seven homers across 84 2/3 innings. Things have turned completely south for the right-hander since. Elder has surrendered at least five earned runs in each of his last three starts, limping to a 12.21 ERA while giving up five long balls in just 14 innings. Elder's GB% has fallen from 45.0 to 32.7 between the two time frames, and his K% has dropped from 20.8 to 16.4. Holding onto Elder in standard fantasy formats is a difficult ask right now.
