Shota Imanaga delivers quality start Monday
by Nicholas Rodriguez | Cubs Correspondent | Tue, Jun 30th 3:11am EDT
Shota Imanaga allowed two runs on nine hits and no walks while striking out four across 6.1 innings in Monday's 3-2 victory over the San Diego Padres.
Fantasy Impact:
Imanaga allowed nine hits on Monday, matching the season high he set on May 18 against the Milwaukee Brewers, when he surrendered eight runs. This time, however, he worked out of trouble throughout the outing and did not issue a walk, helping him record his first quality start since May 13. He finished June with a 4.13 ERA and 1.09 WHIP, a significant improvement from the 5.80 ERA and 1.26 WHIP he posted in May. Imanaga is scheduled to make his next start on Sunday against the St. Louis Cardinals.
