Griffin Jax allowed three runs on one hit and two walks while striking out 10 across five innings in Monday's 5-1 loss to the New York Yankees.

Jax turned in a stellar outing on Monday, allowing just one hit while striking out a season-high 10 batters. The only blemish came in the fifth inning, when he issued back-to-back walks before surrendering a three-run homer to Jose Caballero. He responded by striking out the next two hitters to end the frame and did not return for the sixth. Through 13 starts this season, Jax owns a 2.89 ERA and 1.11 WHIP with 58 strikeouts across 56 innings. He is scheduled to make his next start on Saturday against the Mariners.
