Colin Rea allowed three earned runs on five hits and one walk while striking out six across six innings in Friday's 5-2 loss against the Minnesota Twins.

Despite taking the loss on Friday, Rea turned in a solid outing, striking out six while recording his first quality start since May 23, when he tossed seven innings against the Houston Astros. Through 20 appearances (16 starts) this season, he owns a 4.74 ERA and 1.42 WHIP with 76 strikeouts across 100.2 innings. Rea is scheduled to make his next start on Wednesday against the Detroit Tigers.
