Jack Perkins allowed three earned runs on five hits and one walk while striking out four over five innings in Tuesday’s loss to the Diamondbacks.

Perkins continues an underwhelming stretch on the mound, allowing three earned runs or more in seven of his last eight contests. The right-hander remains one of the more frustrating options in the Athletics rotation for manager Mark Kotsay, posting a 6.75 ERA and 1.42 WHIP with a 2-5 record and 10.9 K/9 ratio across 25 appearances.
