The Mariners have been brought up as a candidate to trade a starting pitcher the last couple of years. They would prefer to trade Luis Castillo, but a younger player like Hancock is going to hold more trade value. If they do trade a starting pitcher, top prospect Kade Anderson could get an opportunity in the majors later this season.
