Tigers second baseman Gleyber Torres went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer in an 8-0 win over the Mariners on Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact:
Torres was having a quiet night at the plate until the top of the ninth when he launched a hanging breaking ball for a two-run homer to left as part of a four-run frame for the Tigers. The 29-year-old has homers in two of his last three games and in three of his last six contests. The veteran has missed time twice this season due to oblique injuries, but has been fantastic when healthy, hitting .267 with seven homers, a 15.7% BB%, and a .794 OPS across 56 games on the season.
