Ryan Gusto allowed four runs (two earned) on six hits and no walks while striking out six across 4.2 innings in Saturday's 8-4 win over the Cincinnati Reds.
Fantasy Impact:
The Reds scored two runs in the third inning on a two-run RBI single from Sal Stewart and two more in the fifth on solo home runs from Ke'Bryan Hayes and Matt McLain. However, Gusto was only charged with two earned runs. The right-hander has been excellent in August, posting a 3.07 ERA and 1.02 WHIP with 15 strikeouts over 14.2 innings, and he is becoming a viable streaming option when the matchup is favorable. His next scheduled start is on Friday against the Washington Nationals.
