Sandy Alcantara allowed one run on three hits and four walks while striking out two across seven innings in Friday’s 1-0 loss to the Cincinnati Reds.

Alcantara has pitched at least seven innings in six of his last eight starts. Despite picking up the loss on Friday, he has been dominant through three starts in August, recording a quality start in all three while allowing just one run and 10 hits across 20 innings. His next scheduled start is on Wednesday against the Philadelphia Phillies.
