Zebby Matthews allowed one earned run on six hits and one walk while striking out seven over seven innings in Monday's 9-6 win over the Athletics.

Matthews has now turned in two straight strong starts, allowing just two earned runs across 12 2/3 innings of work over that span. After the victory, he now carries a 4.86 ERA and 1.31 WHIP with an 8-8 record across 19 starts. His next start will be Sunday against the White Sox.
