Clay Holmes tossed seven scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and two walks while striking out five in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Since allowing four runs in his debut with the Chicago Cubs, Holmes has been dominant, allowing just one run over his last 19 innings. In four starts with the Cubs, he owns a 1.96 ERA and 0.96 WHIP. His next scheduled start is on Monday against the Milwaukee Brewers.
