Markieff Morris effective in Game 6

by Dennis Clausen | Mavericks Correspondent | Sat, Apr 29th 11:28pm EDT

Markieff Morris helped the Wizards defeat the Hawks 115-99 in Game 6 on Friday night. Morris played 40 minutes, scoring 17 points. He also grabbed eight boards and was productive on the defensive end with three blocks. With the win, Washington closed out the series and will head to Boston for Game 1 of the conference semis on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact:

Morris has had an up and down postseason thus far. In the six games against Atlanta in the opening round of the playoffs, Morris had only two games in which he had double-digit scoring, at least seven boards and played over 30 minutes. On a positive note, Morris averaged 13 points and eight boards against Boston during the regular season, a team that has had trouble against the four spot all season. Now that he doesn't have to deal with Paul Millsap, Morris should be a solid DFS tournament option as he has the potential to have big games.
