Anthony Davis posts monster game in season opener

Anthony Davis scored a team-high 33 points and added a team-high 18 rebounds but it wasn't enough to overcome the Grizzlies on Wednesday night with the Pelicans losing 103-91. Davis made 9-of-23 from the field but lived at the line making 14-of-17 attempts while playing 40 minutes.
Fantasy Impact:
Strong start for the Pelicans' big men for fantasy purposes but it did not result in success for the team with an opening game loss. The strep throat he had leading up to the game certainly did not affect his performance on the court. The sky is the limit for the 24-year-old in his sixth season in the NBA.
