Jalen McDaniels quiet in win over Bulls

by Joel E. Ruffin Jr. | Hornets Correspondent | Fri, Feb 21st 10:32am EST

Jalen McDaniels totaled two points (0-0 FG, 0-0 3PT, 2-2 FT) and two rebounds in 16 minutes in the Hornets’ win over the Bulls 103 – 93 on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact:

McDaniels failed to have a productive game this past Thursday against the Bulls. The rookie's only production came from two foul shots and two boards, but the rest of the night saw him struggle to get anything going, especially with him being in foul trouble early on. Even though it has been a small sample size, McDaniels has been efficient on the floor when provided with the opportunity and has shown glimpses of potential. With the constant changes to the Hornets’ rotation, he finds himself in a perfect storm. If he can capitalize on the opportunities and continue to improve, he might just become a reliable asset for this evolving Hornets team. For fantasy purposes, however, it would be to best view him as a speculative prospect/play.
