Zion Williamson goes 23 and 7 in road win

by Adam Koffler | Pelicans Correspondent | Sun, Mar 8th 7:30pm EDT

Zion Williamson scored 23 points (9-15 FG, 1-1 3PT, 4-6 FT) with seven rebounds, one assist, and one block in 31 minutes in 120-107 victory over the Timberwolves on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact:

Williamson finished the game as a +20, as did all the other Pelican starters. He wasn’t needed to carry the offensive load tonight as he has in many games this season, as that responsibility was all Jrue Holiday’s. Holiday nearly had a 30-point triple-double tonight, going 37/9/8. For Zion to even be in the conversation for ROY is a testament to his incredible production in just 19 games played on the year, in which he’s averaging 23.6 points on 59 percent shooting, 6.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.4 blocks in 29 minutes per game. Patient fantasy owners are seeing all their Zion dividends paying off now.
