Al-Farouq Aminu (knee) not likely to return when the season resumes

by Adam Koffler | Sun, Jun 7th 8:21pm EDT

Orlando Magic President of Basketball Operations Jeff Weltman doesn’t believe F Al-Farouq Aminu (knee) will be healthy enough to take the court when the NBA season resumes in late July. (Orlando Sentinel)

Fantasy Impact:

Aminu has been out since November 29th with a knee injury. He underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn meniscus in January and is likely out for the remainder of the year. Weltman said that Aminu and teammate Jonathan Isaac (knee) are both “working very hard,” but admitted that “there’s a difference of being healthy and then being safely healthy.” Both players are not safely healthy and thus will likely remain on the sidelines to fully recover in time for the start of the 2020-21 regular season set to start in December 2020.
