Jonathan Kuminga, the No. 1 2021 NBA prospect, will join NBA G League

The No. 1 prospect in the 2021 NBA draft class, Jonathan Kuminga, has decided to forego college and join the NBA G League’s professional pathway program. (Shams Charania on Twitter)

It’s quite possible the uncertainty surrounding the upcoming college basketball season played a role in Kuminga deciding to join the G league. He’ll make around $500,000 in the professional pathway program. The 6-foot-8 five-star recruit from Hillside, NJ will have a shot at being a top-three selection in the 2021 NBA Draft.
