Spencer Dinwiddie’s ACL reconstruction eliminates his chance of a return

Spencer Dinwiddie, per Manhattan Orthopedic Care founder Dr. Armin Tehrany, has seemingly eliminated any chance of returning this season due to his ACL reconstruction procedure. (Brian Lewis on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

In the case of Dinwiddie’s partially torn ACL, the best course of action for long-term health was to opt for a reconstruction procedure versus a repair, which carries up to a 20.0 percent failure rate. The Nets will have a difficult time accounting for the versatility he brought to the rotation. Look for Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot to see a continued uptick in minutes in the rotation as a starter. He can safely stay on waivers at this time; however, he may be a viable flier in DFS formats depending on slate size and available value.
