Jason Preston is in line to miss a significant amount of time this upcoming season due to having right foot surgery to repair damaged ligaments. (Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Preston was selected 33rd in the second round of July’s NBA Draft by the Clippers. In his final season at Ohio, he averaged 7.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 0.5 steals while shooting 33.6 percent from the floor and 16.7 percent from beyond the arc. Although Reggie Jackson asserted himself as the lead floor general last season, consistent production from the one position seemed scarce beyond his excellent play. Preston's playmaking ability and knack for crashing the boards could be a great addition to the team. It is unfortunate that his injury will force him out for some time; however, he could be a name worth remembering for your lineups once he is back and healthy.
