The Charlotte Hornets and restricted free agent forward Miles Bridges are gathering traction in talks on a new deal and optimism exists that an agreement could come in the relative near future. (Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Bridges pleaded no contest last month to a felony domestic violence charge in relation to the mother of his children. It sounds like a new deal is close between the two sides. When that is agreed upon, Bridges could face some other type of discipline by the NBA before he can make his return to the court.
