P.J. Hairston chips in 15 in rout of Knicks

P.J. Hairston returned from the illness that knocked him out of Thursday's game against Toronto, and scored 15 points on 6-12 shooting in the Hornet's 110-82 win against the Knicks on Saturday. The blowout of New York allowed Hairston to log 23 minutes, a lot for the rookie.

Fantasy Impact

Hairston is still not relevant in most fantasy circles, but with the absence of Lance Stephenson (pelvic injury), Hairston has stepped up and played some big minutes for Charlotte. His field-goal and three-point percentages are still atrocious, but with continued playing time Hairston could turn into a legitimate scorer in this league. He is a J.R. Smith/ Dion Waiters type player who will likely jack-up way too many contested shots, but has the ability to score 40 any given night.
