Chicago Bulls

Eastern Central

Bulls F Al-Farouq Aminu is planning to exercise the player option in his contract worth $10.2 million and stay with Chicago for the 2021-22 season. (Source: Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Aminu was the second piece Chicago acquired in their trade for all-star center Nikola Vucevic but rarely saw playing time on a developing Bulls team. Aminu averaged just 4.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per game this past season, and it's unlikely he'll see much more playing time on a team that would rather work on developing their younger talent.

Zach LaVine recorded 24 points (8-15 FG, 3-7 3PT, 5-6 FT), five rebounds, and two assists in Thursday's 114-102 win over the Raptors.

Fantasy Impact: LaVine had a slightly below-average performance after coming off 30- and 41-point outings. The Bulls playoff hopes, while still technically alive, are very slim. They'll need to win out every game through the end of the season and will play their next on Saturday night against the Nets. LaVine is averaging 27.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.9 assists this season.

Nikola Vucevic logged 16 points (7-19 FG, 2-7 3PT), 16 rebounds, and six assists in Thursday's win over the Raptors.

Fantasy Impact: The Bulls need to win out and the Wizards need to lose out for the Bulls to get into the playoffs, and Chicago is doing their best to make it happen. Vucevic has been great since coming over to the team, still remaining an elite center option in fantasy. All 16 of his boards on Thursday come on the defensive end of the court. They'll face off against the Nets, who they just lost to, on Saturday night.

Along with the 13 points (6-13 FG, 0-1 3PT, 1-2 FT), Thaddeus Young added four rebounds, three assists and one steal in the contest against Philadelphia.

Fantasy Impact: It was a rough offensive showing for the team as a whole Monday. Young never found a rhythm and missed some shots he usually hits. He draws a matchup against Charlotte next on Thursday night where he'll hope to bounce back.

Bulls G Coby White finished with 23 points (8-19 FG, 5-10 3PT, 2-2 FT) while also chipping in 2 rebounds and five assists.

Fantasy Impact: White played a surprising low 29 minutes Monday night despite the impressive offensive performance. Expect White to get back into the mid-30s as the Bulls' primary ball handler in their next contest against Charlotte on Thursday.

Chicago Bulls PF Lauri Markkanen (leg) will be available to play against the Toronto Raptors on Thursday. (Source:

Fantasy Impact: Markkanen was previously probable to play after suffering a leg injury during the Bulls' previous win against the Pacers on Tuesday. The fourth-year power forward has lost some of his fantasy appeal due to the acquisition of All-Star C Nikola Vucevic, as Markkanen now comes off the bench averaging 22.7 minutes across his last three games played. Markkanen is still a good start in deeper leagues averaging 9.3 points and 4.3 assists per game.

Tomas Satoransky racked up 19 points (8-10 FG, 2-3 3PT, 1-1 FT), 11 assists, two steals, and a rebound in Sunday's win over the Nets.

Fantasy Impact: Satoransky has started 12 games now and his time as a starter hasn't generated much excitement for fantasy players. Through that stretch, he's averaging 10.8 points, 6.3 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game. His ability as a facilitator makes him a decent DFS option as he showcased his ceiling on Sunday. Still, the consistency makes it tough to rely on him in season-long formats.

Chicago Bulls C Wendell Carter Jr. has reportedly been traded to the Orlando Magic in exchange for All-Star C Nikola Vucevic, per Shams Charania. (Source: Shams Charania on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Carter Jr. averaged 10.9 points and 7.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists across 32 games for Chicago and will attempt to fulfill the massive expectations set forth by former Magic C Nikola Vucevic. Vucevic has been traded to the Bulls in exchange for Bulls' SF Otto Porter Jr. and Wendell Carter Jr. and should remain a lock-in your fantasy lineup moving forward. Carter's value may have increased a bit due to opportunity but he remains in a much lower tier than Vucevic moving forward.

Chicago Bulls SF Otto Porter Jr. has been traded to the Orlando Magic, per Shams Charania. (Source: Shams Charania on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: The seventh-year forward will join the Magic along with teammate C Wendell Carter Jr. in exchange for All-Star C Nikola Vucevic. Porter will have big shoes to fill in Orlando, as he averaged just 9.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per game this season in Chicago. Fantasy managers should temper expectations until Porter can solidify a role in the front-court, as more trade rumors surrounding Magic PF Aaron Gordon could come to fruition by 3 pm ET Thursday.

Daniel Gafford recorded eight points (4-4 FG), 11 rebounds, and two blocks in Sunday's 100-86 win over the Pistons.

Fantasy Impact: The eight points Gafford logged came on a perfect clip from the field and nearly double his season average. In a defensive and gritty game, Gafford saw 14 minutes. Prior to this game, he only played three times in March, seeing 3, 10, and 6 minutes in each outing. Don't expect games like this from the athletic second-year center often.

Patrick Williams notched 10 points (4-7 FG, 2-3 3PT), 14 rebounds, and an assist in Wednesday's loss to the Spurs.

Fantasy Impact: Williams logged his first career double-double less than a month ago and followed it up with another on Wednesday night. His overall averages of 9.9 points and 4.9 rebounds are a bit underwhelming but the raw rookie makes for a great dynasty stash.

Denzel Valentine logged 16 points (6-11 FG, 4-8 3PT), three rebounds, and two assists in Wednesday's win over the Pelicans.

Fantasy Impact: With Lauri Markkanen and Wendell Carter Jr. both out of the lineup, Valentine has started the last three games as the Bulls are trotting out a small-ball starting five. He's seen a boost in minutes over his last five games and has turned that increased opportunity into 14.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.0 steals per game. That type of production makes him for a value DFS play with a sturdy floor as long as Markkanen and Carter remain sidelined.

Garrett Temple logged two points (1-8 FG, 0-5 3PT), nine rebounds, one assist, and one steal in Monday's loss to the Raptors.

Fantasy Impact: Temple was horrendous shooting the ball but was able to contribute with a strong performance on the glass. He's only averaging 26.2 minutes per game and 8.4 points and shouldn't be on your fantasy radar.
