Fantasy Impact: Carter Jr. will be out once again on a back-to-back set against the Lakers and expect backup center Daniel Gafford to pick up the slack with Carter Jr. out.

Chicago Bulls F Otto Porter (rest) will not play against the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday. (Source: Chicago Bulls on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Porter played 25 minutes on Friday night and he'll take a night off on the backend on a back-to-back set on Saturday. Expect Thad Young and Pat Williams to pick up the minutes in Porter's absence.

Daniel Gafford recorded seven points (3-4 FG, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, two blocks, and a steal in Friday's win over Charlotte.

Fantasy Impact: Gafford has high hopes with Wendell Carter Jr. ruled out with a thigh injury but came up pretty flat. Gafford still has a knack for racking up blocks and igniting his teammates but his overall game doesn't translate too well to fantasy.

Coby White logged 18 points (6-15 FG, 3-8 3PT, 3-4 FT), eight assists, two rebounds, and two steals in Friday's win over the Hornets.

Fantasy Impact: White's inconsistency this season has been extremely frustrating. Over his last five outings, he's scored 9, 22, 0, 10 ,18. His ceiling is undeniable but his floor is dangerously low. The second-year guard a solid buy-low option as he should only get better from here. He's averaging 16.0 points, 6.1 assists, and 5.0 rebounds per game.

Category: Game Recaps

Lauri Markkanen recorded 23 points (10-17 FG, 3-8 3PT), two rebounds, and a block in Friday's win over the Hornets.

Fantasy Impact: Markkanen has really come on as a solid scoring option through his fourth season, averaging a career-high 19.4 points per game. He's also averaging career-best clips from the field and behind the arc, shooting 49.1% and 39.7%. Those averages will likely come back down to earth, along with his point average.

Zach LaVine recorded 25 points (8-12 FG, 3-6 3PT, 6-6 FT), nine assists, six rebounds, a block, and a steal in Friday's win over the Hornets.

Fantasy Impact: LaVine came into this game on a heater and led the team in scoring. He's having a phenomenal January, averaging 29.1 points, 6.4 assists, 5.2 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game. His season average of 27.2 points per game is good for the sixth-best in the league. The Bulls will have a quick turnaround and play the Lakers on Saturday.

Patrick Williams (hip) is available to play Friday night at Charlotte (Source: Daniel Greenberg)

Fantasy Impact: Williams missed Chicago's last game with the hip injury but it appears to be minor as he'll suit up tonight. The lottery pick is averaging 10.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game on the season, making him a fringe fantasy option in most standard leagues.

Garrett Temple posted 13 points (4-9 FG, 3-7 3PT, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists, and a steal in Monday's win over the Rockets.

Fantasy Impact: Garrett Temple got the start in place of the injured rookie Patrick Williams and played 32 minutes. The veteran had one of his better games of the season, only scoring more than 13 in three other games. Temple makes for a decent DFS target if Williams is unable to suit up Friday against the Hornets, but don't think about picking him up in any season-long leagues.

Thaddeus Young recorded 12 points (5-11 FG, 1-2 3PT, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, three assists, and a steal in Monday's win over the Rockets.

Fantasy Impact: Young came off the bench and logged 25 minutes. He's in a similar role to last year, playing well but with limited usage. He's averaging 10.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game over 23.4 minutes and doesn't make for a worthy fantasy starter as long as Lauri Markkanen is healthy.

Denzel Valentine racked up 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-3 3PT), four rebounds, and three assists in a Sunday night loss to the Clippers.

Fantasy Impact: Valentine is averaging just 18.4 points so far this season and that's with the Bulls dealing with a slew of injuries. The fourth-year guard out of Michigan State probably won't end up in a position where you'll be relying on him in and season-long formats this season.

Bulls backup point guard Ryan Arcidiacono (health and safety protocols) is out for Thursday's game against the Wizards. (Source: Cody Westerlund on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Several Bulls, including Arcidiacono, are out for Thursday's game versus the Wizards. Backup guards Garret Temple and Denzel Valentine should see a heavy uptick in minutes.

Bulls point guard Tomas Satoransky (health and safety protocols) has been ruled out Thursday against the Wizards (Source: Cody Westerlund on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: With several Bulls in the health and safety protocols, including Satoransky, expect rookie Patrick Williams and veteran Garrett Temple to log more minutes tonight versus the Wizards.

Adam Mokoka recorded four points (2-6 FG, 0-3 3PT), two assists, two steals, and a block in Wednesday's loss to the Hawks.

Fantasy Impact: It's worth noting Mokoka's early gameplay and 17 minutes as new head coach BIlly Donovan seems intrigued in getting the Frech prospect some minutes. Mokoka didn't log his first point until last February but finished the season with five straight games of at least 16 minutes. He's a scrappy shooting guard that can compile stats all across the stat sheet and his usage should be monitored over the Bulls' next few games. They'll play the Pacers on Saturday.

The Hawks signed G Kris Dunn to a two-year, $10 million contract on Saturday. The deal includes a player option for the second year. (Source: Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Dunn became a free agent after the Bulls declined his qualifying offer. He ultimately winded up in Atlanta. The former No.5 pick in the 2016 NBA Draft is primarily known for his defense and will give the Hawks backcourt depth. Dunn averaged 7.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.0 steals over 51 games for the Bulls last season. The 26-year-old guard is worth a late-round flyer in deep-league formats.

Chandler Hutchison will miss the rest of the season after undergoing season-ending surgery on his shoulder. (Source: Larry Hawley)

Fantasy Impact: Hutchison has missed the last ten games with the injury and will now be shut down for the season. The return of Lauri Markkanen and Otto Porter, along with the emergence of Coby White, make this nearly a moot point for the Bulls at this point.

Shaquille Harrison scored 8 points (3-7 FG, 0-2 3PT, 2-2 FT), with 10 rebounds, four assists, one steal, three blocks, and no turnovers in 29 minutes in 108-103 win over the Cavaliers.

Fantasy Impact: Harrison has been doing it all of late for the Bulls and for fantasy owners. He’s been a defensive menace in his last four games as a starter, averaging 2.5 steals and 1.8 blocks per game. What’s even better is that Harrison is only averaging 0.5 turnovers per game in those four games. He’s taking care of the ball and locking down the other teams best player. As long as Zach LaVine (quad) continues to miss games, consider Harrison a must-add for this week as the Bulls have three more games on the docket.

Luke Kornet will miss the next 6-to-8 weeks due to a foot and ankle injury. (Source: Darnell Mayberry on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Kornet is towards the back-half of the bench so his absence will not create too much of a boost for his teammates. The biggest beneficiaries would likely be Thaddeous Young - who is currently the starter with Lauri Markkanen still out with a pelvis injury - Daniel Gafford and possibly Cristiano Felicio. Felicio has only appeared in 19 games this season so we will have to see how him and Gafford will rotate. Gafford will likely be favored of the two. If Young is still out on waivers, he may get enough minutes to warrant temporary ownership in season-long leagues.
