Miami Heat

Bam Adebayo has had his fourth-year, $5.1 million option exercised by the Heat for the 2020-21 season. This was a widely expected move, especially with Hassan Whiteside now out of the picture. (Source: Miami Herald)

Fantasy Impact: Now locked in as the starting center, Adebayo could be in for a breakout year. He is certainly worth a look in the earlier rounds of drafts.

Hassan Whiteside was traded to Portland on Monday in exchange for Moe Harkless and Meyers Leonard. (Source: Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Hassan Whiteside exercised his $27.1 million player option with the Miami Heat earlier in the off-season. The Heat dealt him to Portland, where he will slide in at the starting center spot until Jusuf Nurkic recovers from a leg injury. At the end of last season, Whiteside lost his starting job to Bam Adebayo, and his numbers have gradually declined the last three seasons. Whiteside averaged 12.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks for the Heat last season.

Dwyane Wade will go down as one of the greatest shooting guards to ever play, and he went out with a triple-double to end it. He recorded 25 points, 10 assists, and 11 rebounds.

Fantasy Impact: It is too difficult to summarize what Wade meant to the NBA and the Miami Heat in his career, but rest assured he will be remembered forever. 'One Last Ride' has made its final stop in a legendary career. Thank you Dwyane Wade.

Udonis Haslem played 30 minutes and started in game 82-of-82, scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. The 15-year vet did say he would need some more time to decide on retirement.

Fantasy Impact: What was a good gesture by Coach Erik Spoelstra due to what could be Haslem's last game, is not something we should expect to see in the future. Not really any fantasy impact, just some recognition to an all-time Miami Heat player, if it was his last game.

Justise Winslow had his best shooting performance since coming back from injury, with scoring 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting, as well as producing three rebounds, two assists, one block, and zero turnovers.

Fantasy Impact: Winslow started again on Tuesday night and had himself a nice game. Though minutes being down compared to the prior couple of games, he was very efficient with his time. Nothing eye-catching in the box score, but a good shooting percentage and no turnovers is always nice. Look to see Winslow play his last game of the year on Wednesday night against the Nets.

In the Heat's 122-99 win over the 76ers, Goran Dragic produced a season-high 13 assists, but only scored six points while shooting 2-of-10 from the field.

Fantasy Impact: Like all the other Heat players, tonight's against the Nets will be the last, after being eliminated from playoff contention last night. Dragic's scoring inconsistencies continue to show and go up-and-down like a ball, but he still seems to find a way to try to impact the game. Whether it is through assists or steals, as well as valuable minutes, Dragic will always give you his effort.

Josh Richardson will sit out the last game of the season against the Nets on Wednesday night. (Source: Miami Heat Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Not too much of a surprise here, especially since the Heat are now eliminated from the playoffs. Though some small injuries throughout the year, Richardson had a career year while playing in 73 games. He had career high's in points (16.6), assists (4.1), and rebounds (3.6) (ESPN Stats). He has a bright future and big role to play for the Miami Heat, who should be expecting a roster changes, with some unproductively large contracts in Whiteside, Dragic, and Anderson, to name a few.

Rodney McGruder has been claimed by the Clippers on Tuesday after being waived by the Miami Heat. (Source: Shams Charania on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: McGruder is not viable for the postseason but could be in line for a wing bench role for them next season. He's off the fantasy radar.

Dion Waiters played 33 minutes in the overtime loss to the Raptors on Sunday. He went 6-of-16 from the field, including hitting five three-pointers, for 16 points.

Fantasy Impact: Not getting to the free throw line continues to be an issue, but getting up his shots is not. Dion has averaged 18.4 shots per game over the last five games. With Josh Richardson hurt and Rodney McGruder waived, we can expect him to keep up the high usage rate.

Kelly Olynyk had 10 points on 3-of-6 shooting (all from three-point range) Wednesday night against the Celtics. He added three rebounds in 29 minutes during the 112-102 loss.

Fantasy Impact: Olynyk has reached double-digit points in three straight games. Almost all of his shots have come from beyond the arc the last two games with 16 of his 17 attempts coming from deep. That won't help his field goal percentage but is a nice opportunity to help in threes and points in the last few games.

James Johnson came off the bench to score 14 points in 22 minutes against the Thunder on Monday. He shot 5-of-8 from the field and a perfect 4-of-4 from the line during the 116-107 win.

Fantasy Impact: In two games since returning from an 11-game absence, Johnson has averaged 10.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists. He appears to be eating into Hassan Whiteside's playing time as he only saw the court for five minutes on Monday. Johnson isn't worth fantasy consideration.

Derrick Jones Jr. will start on Monday against the Thunder. (Source: Heat on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: With Justise Winslow and Rodney McGruder both nursing injuries on the bench, Jones will slide into the starting five and see some solid opportunity for fantasy upside.

Wayne Ellington has been traded to the Phoenix Suns in the Ryan Anderson - Tyler Johnson swap. Ellington is expected to be waived so he will look for a contender like the 76ers, perhaps. (Source: Tim Reynolds on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Ellington needs to be dropped while Dion Waiters and Rodney McGruder stand to benefit the most on the Heat. Tyler Johnson should be the biggest winner in this deal in fantasy.

Tyler Johnson will be traded to the Suns in exchange for F Ryan Anderson. Wayne Ellington is also headed to Phoenix and is likely to be waived. (Source: Tim Reynolds on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Johnson is in line for starting point guard with the Suns as the team finally nabs someone to replace Eric Bledsoe who was traded last season. It's a downgrade for De'Anthony Melton and Elli Okobo.
