Miami Heat

Eastern Southeast

Jimmy Butler tallied 22 points (8-19 FG, 0-3 3PT, 6-7 FT), two rebounds, eight assists, one steal, and one turnover in Sunday's victory versus Boston.

Fantasy Impact: Butler recorded another solid performance tonight, withstanding a fourth quarter rally by the Celtics to send the Heat to the NBA Finals. He's been very consistent these playoffs, but his toughest test awaits on Wednesday evening against LeBron James and the Lakers. This should be quite the battle.

Bam Adebayo produced 32 points (11-15 FG, 10-11 FT), 14 boards, five assists, one steal, and two turnovers in Sunday night's series win against the Celtics.

Fantasy Impact: Adebayo was lights out tonight, shooting an efficient 73.3% from the field and grabbing 14 rebounds to help the Heat clinch their ticket to the Finals. He's had a remarkable season, and is a major key for Miami's wild success. It should be an entertaining series versus the Lakers, and the matchup between Bam Adebayo and Anthony Davis is going to be a very intriguing one to monitor.

Goran Dragic led the Heat in scoring on Friday, producing 23 points (8-17 FG, 1-7 3PT, 6-7 FT) and adding four rebounds, four assists, with four turnovers across 36 minutes in a 121-108 loss to the Celtics in Game 5.

Fantasy Impact: Dragic led the way for the Heat once again and dropped at least 22 points for the fourth time in his past five games. He's been consistent for most of the series and will be a reliable selection in DFS on Sunday with Miami striving to close out the Celtics in six games to earn a trip to the NBA Finals.

Miami Heat rookie Tyler Herro erupted for a playoff-career high of 37 points (14-21 FG, 5-10 3PT, 4-4 FT) along with six rebounds, three assists, and only one turnover across 36 minutes in a 112-109 win over the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night.

Fantasy Impact: Herro was phenomenal on his way to setting a new playoff career-high with 37 points. According to ESPN Stats and Info, he became the 4th player in NBA history to score 30+ points in a playoff game at age 20 or younger. Herro hit double figures for the 13 consecutive playoff game and is a solid DFS play for the remainder of the playoffs. He continues to make a significant impact off the bench for the Heat, and they're only one win away from reaching the NBA Finals.

Duncan Robinson lit up the Celtics in 32 minutes with six three-pointers, shooting 6-12 from the field and scoring 18 points. He also chipped in four assists, two rebounds, and one block in a Game 2 victory.

Fantasy Impact: Robinson got hot from deep and hit 6+ three's for the third time in the 2020 NBA playoffs on Thursday. He's become one of the best three-point shooters in the NBA and has the green light to fire away. His four assists were a new playoff career-high. He typically won't offer much in other categories, but his contributions were timely in a critical comeback victory over the Celtics in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Heat F/C Kelly Olynyk (knee) will be active for Game 4 Sunday. (Source: Miami Heat on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Olynyk missed Game 3 with the knee injury, but will return to the lineup for Game 4. Priced at just $3,400, he makes for a great value on DraftKings today, even if he only sees 15-20 minutes off the bench.

Jae Crowder is expected to play through a sprained ankle on Thursday. Head coach Erik Spoelstra told reporters that he expects Crowder to go through warm-ups and play in game 2 against the Indiana Pacers. (Source: Miami Heat on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Crowder is likely to play and start for the Heat, but if he is limited in any way, expect Derrick Jones Jr. to get some extra playing time. Crowder has been a solid addition for Miami, but doesn't have much fantasy upside. There are better options to use that Crowder on Thursday, so look elsewhere to fill DFS lineups.

Heat guard Kendrick Nunn told reporters on Monday that he will come off the bench for Tuesday's playoff game against the Pacers. (Source: Barry Jackson on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Although Nunn has started every game this season for the Heat, his move to the bench isn't all that surprising. The rookie guard has struggled mightily in Orlando, averaging 10.8 points on an abysmal 32 percent shooting across six games in the bubble. Nunn is a very one-dimensional player who excels at getting buckets, so when his shot isn't falling he tends to become a liability. The Heat have not announced who will start in his place but Goran Dragic remains the leading candidate to get the nod.

Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra told reporters that Derrick Jones Jr. participated in the teams walk-through portion of practice on Monday and his status for Tuesday's playoff game against the Pacers is up in the air. (Source: Anthony Chiang on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Although he was only to participate in the walk-through portion of practice, this report is certainly encouraging after Jones Jr. suffered a scary neck injury in Friday's loss to the Pacers. Although, he may miss a game or two, the injury doesn't appear to be overly serious and he should return at some point in the first round. If he is forced to miss Game 1, Solomon Hill could see some time off the bench.

Solomon Hill got a season-high 41 minutes in Miami's seeding game finale, scoring 21 points (5-13 FG, 10-12 FT) and adding seven rebounds, three assists, one steal, one three-pointer, and three turnovers on Friday.

Fantasy Impact: Hill was one of the DFS winners of the day, earning 33.9 fantasy points, which equated to 9.4x value on his $3600 salary on Fanduel. With most of the Miami starters resting, Hill took advantage of his increased minutes and produced one of his best lines of the year. He'll be relegated back to his role as a deep bench player when the first round of the NBA Playoffs begins on Tuesday. As such, he can be ignored in DFS unless there's an injury to Jimmy Butler or Andre Iguodala.

Meyers Leonard did not play in Saturday's game against the Denver Nuggets based on a decision from head coach Erik Spoelstra. Spoelstra told reporters that Leonard will be in the mix moving forward, but was not included in Saturday's game.

Fantasy Impact: Leonard has averaged 20 minutes a game for the Heat this season, starting in more than half of his appearances. Instead, Jae Crowder started for the Heat on Saturday scoring nine points on 3-of-4 shooting. Leonard should be involved in Miami's rotation in future games, but should be held out of all fantasy lineups until he can prove that he is in a more consistent role for the Heat.

KZ Okpala has put on 10-12 pounds since the NBA shutdown, according to coach Eric Spoelstra. Spoelstra stated that Okpala looks different and this extra practice time with the team is what he needed. (Source: Anthony Chiang on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Okpala has played in only five games so far this season, scoring a season high of just seven points during a game in February. However, Okpala could be a player who benefits from the NBA restart as coach Spoelstra seems set on including a larger roster in Orlando. Okpala has seen next to no fantasy value all season, but he has now caught the eyes of his coaching staff. In eight games before playoffs, Okpala could get an opportunity to play some significant minutes.

Kyle Alexander, as stated by coach Erik Spoelstra, has been full-go in team practices since their arrival in Orlando, “He’s going full-go…so we’re really encouraged where he is right now.” (Source: Ira Winderman on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: The undrafted rookie out of Tennessee signed a two-way contract with the Heat earlier this year, however, saw his season come to a halt after suffering a hyperextension and PCL sprain to his right knee. During his time in the G-League, playing for the Sioux Falls Skyforce, he averaged 25.1 minutes of playing time, 10.6 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.0 assists, .7 steals, and 2.2 blocks per game. Based on his performance in the G-League, it seems as if Alexander has the potential to contribute to the team, albeit in a limited role. The downside is that this will be his first real experience at the next level, as he played zero games for the Heat this year. Due to his lack of exposure, it would be best to keep him on your radar as a speculative play for deep-league action should he somehow find a way into a meaningful role throughout the “seeding games.”

Gabe Vincent dealt with a knee injury before the NBA season was shortened. He is reportedly "good to go," per Heat's Assistant GM Adam Simon. (Source: Miami Herald)

Fantasy Impact: Vincent signed a two-way contract with the Heat in January. He is reportedly "good to go" despite sustaining a knee injury prior to the NBA shutdown. “He was fighting through it, wanted to show he’s ready and an NBA player,” Simon said of Vincent’s time so far with the Heat. “He was determined to not use it as an excuse. He has the qualities we looked for — being a real gym rat, a real hard working kid with great character, well liked wherever he’s been, good teammate, unselfish," Simon added. Vincent averaged 2.0 points, 0.5 rebounds, 0.5 assists and 0.7 triples across six games for the Heat this season. The 23-year-old guard will be available once the NBA 2019-2020 season resumes, but could have a hard time breaking into Miami's rotation.

Andre Iguodala scored ten points (5-8 FG, 0-2 3PT, 0-2 FT), while adding seven rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks across 25 minutes in Friday’s 110-104 loss against the Pelicans

Fantasy Impact: Iguodala stuffed the stat sheet tonight, this was easily his best game of the year. Iguodala got extended minutes tonight playing a season-high 25 minutes. Although, the 33 fantasy points tonight was impressive, this game was more of an anomaly. Iguodala is best left on the waiver wire at this point in his career. The Heat will next take on the Wizards on Sunday night.
