Miami Heat

Eastern Southeast

Justise Winslow sat out the Heat's contest against the Wizards on Friday due to lower back pain.

Fantasy Impact: No telling how long Winslow will sit out and with a matchup against the 8-14 Bulls on Sunday, Coach Spoelstra might opt to rest him another game.

Kendrick Nunn scored 14 points (6-14 FG, 1-3 3PT, 1-1 FT) three rebounds, four assists, and one block across 29 minutes in the Heat's win over the Wizards on Friday night.

Fantasy Impact: Nunn didn't exactly light up the scoreboard tonight but his shooting improved in this one since he's shot under 30% in his last five games. Nunn will have his second crack at the Bulls on Sunday at home and last time against them he scored 21 points.

Tyler Herro scored 22 points (10-18 FG, 2-7 3PT) seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 32 minutes of action in the Heat's win over the Wizards on Friday night.

Fantasy Impact: Herro stepped up nicely on Friday night as the first man off the bench due to Justise Winslow sitting this one out with lower back pain. Keep an eye on Winslow's status heading into Sunday's game against the Bulls if he's out Herro might make for an interesting DFS play.

Bam Adebayo scored 24 points (10-16 FG, 4-7 FT) 14 rebounds, four assists, and two blocks across 36 minutes in the Heat's win over the Wizards on Friday night in Miami.

Fantasy Impact: Adebayo rebounded nicely from his last game in which he failed to score in double-figures with his best game of the season. The third year player out of Kentucky will next take on the Bulls at home on Sunday.

Jimmy Butler scored 28 points (9-16 FG, 2-5 3PT, 8-11 FT) 11 rebounds, 11 assists, two blocks, and one steal across 36 minutes in the Heat's win over the Wizards on Friday night.

Fantasy Impact: Butler has been better than expected in Miami and right now he looks like he is just warming up in Coach Spoelstras' system which is great news for his owners. Butler is back in action with Heat on Sunday at home against the Bulls.

Goran Dragic will miss Friday's matchup with the Wizards as he deals with a groin injury. (Source: NBA Injury Report)

Fantasy Impact: Dragic will sit his third straight game as he deals with a groin injury. Kendrick Nunn should get the start at point guard in his absence.

Dion Waiters will miss Friday's matchup with Washington as he deals with an illness. (Source: NBA Injury Report)

Fantasy Impact: Waiters has served his suspension and been reinstated, though his season debut will have to wait. Miami takes on Chicago on Sunday, and Waiters will have a chance to take the court then.

Meyers Leonard scored three points, secured three rebounds and blocked one shot in 20 minutes of action as Miami lost to Boston 112-93.

Fantasy Impact: Leonard’s lone made shot was a three-pointer, his third straight game with at least one. That’s about the only bright spot to take away from another tough outing.

Chris Silva did not score Wednesday and managed to grab one rebound in five minutes against the Celtics.

Fantasy Impact: Silva got back onto the floor Wednesday but has not seen double-digit minutes since November 29th against Golden State. His streak of six straight games with 12 or more minutes to end November almost feels like a distant memory.

Duncan Robinson scored 10 points Wednesday (4-8 FG, 2-6 3PT), adding five rebounds, three steals and an assist in 29 minutes against Boston.

Fantasy Impact: Robinson has hit at least two three pointers in 11 of his last 12 games and has had some better rebounding performances to start December. He’s not turning the ball over much either, and appears to be a roster-worthy player while he continues to see 25-30 minutes per game.

Kelly Olynyk scored 12 points (4-8 FG, 1-5 3PT, 3-3 FT) with four rebounds, two assists and a steal as Miami fell to Boston 112-93 Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact: Olynyk saw another significant allocation of minutes and shot attempts Wednesday in the second of back-to-back road games against top Eastern Conference opponents. It’s clear he is a player that Miami can rely on in big games, which bodes well for fantasy players who have Olynyk rostered.

James Johnson (illness) will play in Thursday’s contest against the Cavaliers. (Source: Miami Heat on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Johnson missed Tuesday’s game as a result of the illness, but is all systems go for Thursday. He is averaged 5.0 points and 2.5 rebounds in four games this season.

Derrick Jones Jr. (groin) is listed as probable for Thursday's game against the Suns. (Source: Ira Winderman of Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Jones aggravated his groin injury during Tuesday's loss to the Nuggets, though it doesn't sound like he'll miss any action as a result. He's appeared in three games this season, averaging 8.7 points and 1.3 rebounds in 16.3 minutes per contest.

Udonis Haslem is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Suns due to an illness. (Source: Ira Winderman on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Haslem and teammate Dion Waiters are both dealing with stomach bugs. The big man has yet to appear for the Heat this season.

Daryl Macon will join the Sioux Falls Skyforce as part of his two-way contract, according to the Miami Heat. (Source: Miami Heat on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: The undrafted guard out of Arkansas appeared in just eight games for Dallas last season and has taken the court for a total of one minute for Miami in 2019. Barring injuries, he'll spend the majority of the year in the G-League.

Hassan Whiteside was traded to Portland on Monday in exchange for Moe Harkless and Meyers Leonard. (Source: Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Hassan Whiteside exercised his $27.1 million player option with the Miami Heat earlier in the off-season. The Heat dealt him to Portland, where he will slide in at the starting center spot until Jusuf Nurkic recovers from a leg injury. At the end of last season, Whiteside lost his starting job to Bam Adebayo, and his numbers have gradually declined the last three seasons. Whiteside averaged 12.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks for the Heat last season.

Dwyane Wade will go down as one of the greatest shooting guards to ever play, and he went out with a triple-double to end it. He recorded 25 points, 10 assists, and 11 rebounds.

Fantasy Impact: It is too difficult to summarize what Wade meant to the NBA and the Miami Heat in his career, but rest assured he will be remembered forever. 'One Last Ride' has made its final stop in a legendary career. Thank you Dwyane Wade.

Josh Richardson will sit out the last game of the season against the Nets on Wednesday night. (Source: Miami Heat Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Not too much of a surprise here, especially since the Heat are now eliminated from the playoffs. Though some small injuries throughout the year, Richardson had a career year while playing in 73 games. He had career high's in points (16.6), assists (4.1), and rebounds (3.6) (ESPN Stats). He has a bright future and big role to play for the Miami Heat, who should be expecting a roster changes, with some unproductively large contracts in Whiteside, Dragic, and Anderson, to name a few.

Rodney McGruder has been claimed by the Clippers on Tuesday after being waived by the Miami Heat. (Source: Shams Charania on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: McGruder is not viable for the postseason but could be in line for a wing bench role for them next season. He's off the fantasy radar.
